[INTRODUCTION TO BASIC COMPOSITION]
In week 2, Mr. Fauzi started off the class by reminding the class of the uses of google classroom regarding week 1's exercises and tasks then he smoothly transitioned into our second lecture about 'Composition'.  From there Mr. Fauzi guided us through the lecture slides and videos to give the class a better understanding of carrying out our 'collage design' exercise to lead up to the first project correlating to collages.

Practical Session
During practical, Mr. Fauzi assigned us to start collecting our desired pieces from magazines or other materials that were prepared from week 1. From the materials, they act as design elements to be cut out and arranged to create my own concept or story into pre-composition stages to be consulted in the third week.

These are a few of my pre-compositions that I came up with:

1. Pre-composition #1

2. Pre-composition #2

3. Pre-composition #3

4. Pre- Composition #4

5. Pre- Composition #5

Exercise 1 - Project 1A (Collage Design)

In the first exercise, it is divided into 2 exercises related to Collage Design, one
physical and the other would digitalize.

After submitting a few of the ideas I had, Mr. Fauzi gave feedback and suggested pre- composition #3 to be stuck together and progressed into the exercise!

Final Outcome:

Reflection:
In this physical exercise, I was able to reflect on the use of many different kinds of elements to piece together one bigger piece as a whole. I got to understand pre-composition and how planning is always important when carrying out a design, as well as experimenting with different kinds of varieties in position and scale and other elements that contrast with each other. Since I've never exactly carried out these kinds of exercises before (only seeing them not the internet) it was quite fun to be able to gather the pieces and make it into an imagery collage that has its own narrative to it. Even while accumulating the elements to carry out the exercises, there were a lot of ideas I wished I could of done more. Although, it was a very fun experience and I hope to be able to add this aspect of design to maybe one of my own personal artworks or future projects!
