Class Sessions
Week 10 (May 31st, 2021)
-

During this week of digital photography and imaging class, Mr. Fauzi started off with a few consultations on a few student's work regarding our previous exercise on creating a moving image using the software adobe after effects with compositions provided by Mr. Fauzi.

Later then, the class dove into our 10th session about 'digital photography'. Mr. Fauzi guided the class with lecture slides on how an 'exposure setting' works with the variety of lenses to a camera. There are other subtopics mentioned in the lecture, like perspectives of the lenses and the differences between a DSLR camera and a smartphone camera.

Tutorial, on the other hand, Mr. Fauzi used the remaining time in class to give the class a brief explanation on starting out our project 4. Project 4 is where the students are to create a self-titled portrait piece for our final project. Mr. Fauzi assisted the class regarding our project 4 with his sharing of his own company and a few other advice and sample inspirations to help kickstart our ideas.

Mr. Fauzi provided a template to help progress into our 4th project within 3 weeks of progression. The first step was to write a biography of ourselves, give a few insights on the work we're about to carry out, and a few reference posters/self-titled portraits to help get a grip of ideating out a self-titled portrait design!

Poster reference idea (approach):

I wanted to make sure that my work statements and biography have similarities to the kind of invasion of a self-titled poster I wanted to try out and design, I stumbled upon some that had similar envisions has to reference when I  was searching through Pinterest.

So I took them into consideration and had more tips from Mr. Fauzi on how to apply effects from my reference into my work.
