INSTRUCTIONS
Class Sessions Week 12 (June 14th, 2021) -
In today's class, Mr. Fauzi gave a short lecture about surrealism, he talked about the deeper meaning of surrealism and how it is applied to our 4th project regarding our self-titled poster.
In a way, there are tips in adding meaning to our posters on how we decide to edit in and put in elements just like surrealism. To be able to have an interpretation when a viewer was to view our posters. Other than that, Mr. Fauzi gave a few feedbacks to our works and consultations for the week 12th progression of our self-titled poster.

In week 12's progression into our 4th project was finalizing my poster before animating.
Progression:
Figure 1.1.1 - Cutting out subject to implement into the poster, June 13th, 2021
Figure 1.1.2 - Adjusting color levels on exposure subjects, June 13th, 2021
Figure 1.1.3 - Writing in text, June 13th, 2021
Figure 1.1.4 - Adding in other elements, June 13th, 2021
Mr. Fauzi gave feedback on the first digital poster that I worked on, having to do with the color applied on the subject being much darker in shade than lighter (like it was before) so I made those changes to finalize it.
Final outcome:
Figure 1.1.5 - Before feedback, June 13th, 2021
For my final self-titled poster, I adjusted the levels of colors on each of the double exposure color layers that I applied on myself so that the poses appear more visible with the colors on them. As seen below:

Artist statement:
For me, art is flights of fantasy and pictures of reality, exhilarating moments, and gloomy evenings. As an artist/designer, I have struggled to “speak up” for who I am, to embrace who I want to be verbally and/or physically. But realizing that there is a possibility in expressing the way I am with this self-titled poster, I manage to capture the elements, colors, expressions that portray who I am and to be able to share that with the world.
Even if it doesn’t reach a great number audience, at least the ones that take inspiration from who I am and to motivate them allowing them to explore who they are as a person in creating maybe a self-titled poster for starters to start out the kinds of designer and artist they want to be.
June 21st, 2021 [Week 13] -
For week 13 I just finalized the self-titled poster with animating minor movements to express the self-titled poster more. I also received a few more feedback from Mr. Fauzi on finalizing the design and its appeal.
Progression
Figure 1.1.7 -Background gradient fade effect, June 17th, 2021
My initial idea for the background, since it's a gradient, is to fade into other combinations of pink gradients. So with that, I used the transformation presents in each of the layers named 'gradient background' and worked out the opacity keyframes from there to achieve the background animation I desired.
Figure 1.1.8 - Rainbow wave effect, June 17th, 2021
Secondly, I worked my way up with the first element in the background that was the rainbows. I wanted them to have a waxy effect going across the corners of the canvas and convenient enough there was a preset 'Wave warp' that allowed it to have a wavy movement to it. I set its adjustments to my desire and continued from then on.

Reflection

What I was able to reflect on from this last project in DPI was identifying who we are as people and how we exert ourselves in art pieces that define who we are or attempt to allow ourselves to have it identify us. It was quite a journey from writing biography and work statements on how my self-titled poster should be and look like. I did my best to set a specific theme to it since I'm still exploring many more themes, but with the final outcome, I feel like this theme speaks the truth of who I am; bright colors and quirkiness!

Mr. Hafiz and Mr. Kamal conducted the brief with a short session where each student got to introduce themselves and what they expected from learning animation. It was interesting to know that there were many perceptions of expectations when it comes to learning animation for each student. My expectation of learning animation is to hopefully be able to turn my self-written stories into animations. Moving on, we started to indulge in what animation had to offer! Mr. Hafiz gave quite an interesting outlook and somewhat short explanations on the fundamentals and details of what animation is, how in hopes to the end of this course students ...
