Project 2 - Microsite Design

October 8th, 2021 (Week4)

During class, Mr. Tarmizi prepared the students and demonstrated our second project and how we would go about it though adobe's Dreamweaver.

I started off my landing page by making sure I have all the right images to be added as the background to my website. As of the previous project, the contents that will be a continuum of follow up webpages into the microsite as seen below;

The majority of the pages I had designed in the first project would correlate to each other, but I did my best to have different and in-depth information on many important pages like the 'crafting gallery' page and the 'blog page'.

mapping out the pages:

I did a few changes when it came to the crafting gallery, since they are crafts that I'll be selling I made the prices and the name of the product visible from there.

Completed microsite draft #1 & #2:

The pages displayed above are most of the pages that will be sent to a new page or an existing page (from landing page design) since most of them are connected in a way. I'd say the only new pages are the 'buy now' page and the 'portfolio' page.

These pages are accumulated in the image seen below through the chronological sequence:

Reflection

Carrying out the second project in interactive design was quite simple but at the same time really struck the area in critically thinking and planning out the sequence of certain pages and where it will send a user when clicking on a particular information page.

Since my content had to do with products and something I would say I'm not used to, it was an easing way to lead into planning out what page would come next after an initial displayed page and of course, keeping the consistency of the design throughout the pages was also a way to keep things simple and not too eye-straining to a user.

What I was able to reflect from this project is to determine a good website design and I think I manage to achieve that.
